The 42N Energy Challenge gives residents the chance to compete against other apartments for prizes by reducing energy use in their apartment.
Small changes can make a big difference. Start saving today. Tips and Tricks will be announced throughout the competition – here are some things you can do now:
Turn your Air Conditioning up 2 degrees as a starting point. Example, if your thermostat is set to 70 – turn it to 72 for a week;
Report any heating, cooling, or electrical issues to the 42N leasing team today! No matter how big or small you think they are – they could be using a lot of energy;
Turn off lights when you are not in the room;
Keep your windows closed when using the AC;
Encourage your roommates, neighbors and friends to participate!
How It Works
Each apartment starts with its own energy-use baseline.
Energy use is tracked throughout the competition.
Apartments that achieve the greatest reduction from their baseline move up the leaderboard.
Top performers will be awarded prizes at the end of April.
The competition rewards improvement, so every apartment has a chance to win.
